I remember well receiving a loveely phone call of congratulations from Ofcom... then thinking oh blimey... I actually have a radio station to help launch now!

From my memory from my experience of when I won our license (many years ago!) I am sure they called me to let me know (and then sent a letter) but did the "official release" not long after they called me..
