Even if they don't have a specific provision for it, any PC-based studio
systems can generally be remotely accessed just by using an off-the-shelf
remote control application such as TeamViewer or Log Me In (or for those
with more technical setup ability using any one of numerousVPN systems) to
give you remote access from another PC/laptop/tablet/smartphone etc anywhere
in the world.

As long as you have broadband/3G connection at both ends they give you a
complete remote keyboard/screen/mouse access so anything you can do on the
system in the studio can be done remotely. You can even have the sound fed
back (with a short latency), locla and remote clipboards are synchronized,,
files transferred etc.

We use remote control routinely to rescue things when a presenter has 'got
lost' or if something unintended has happened with out-of-hours
presentation, and without we would be faced with unwelcome choices between
making a dash to the studio or letting the fault continue. They are
lifesavers!

Alex
