That's the trouble.Common sense says that modelling is only as good as the information you can give the computer, and how well the software can use it.All my practical experience tells me that only by measuring the real thing can you be sure.

Ian, Treat the T as a monopole if you wish to model it however you best take ground conductivity measurements first! This is the all-important sentence in the T’s wiki: “Because the two horizontal arms of the "T" have equal but oppositely-directed currents in them, which causes the radio waves from them to cancel far from the antenna, and because of similar cancelling ground currents, the horizontal wire radiates little radio power.” You can model any antenna, you just require the necessary data and can therefore sleep well at night knowing that your coverage prediction is as close as it gets to reality.
