The Radio Academy has been going through a period of change (to put it bluntly!) and there are 6 vacant seats on the Board of Trustees that are up for election. It would be good if there was the voice of Community Media being clearly heard at the top table. Details of how to stand etc. are on their website and below.

Trustee Elections 2015
Are you passionate about radio and want to help lead a charity dedicated to the encouragement, recognition, promotion and excellence in broadcasting and audio production?
The Radio Academy is run and managed by its Board of Trustees. Trustees are themselves members of the Radio Academy and are elected by other Radio Academy members. Trustees work alongside staff and make decisions on everything from the vision, strategy, training and events to overseeing the finance of The Radio Academy.
Trustees come from all areas of the radio, audio and media industries with different skills and experience which they will apply to their role as Trustee to help steer The Radio Academy in its new direction. Specifically, we are looking for Trustees with skills in the following areas: Governance, compliance, financial management, training, sponsorship and revenue generation and marketing and PR. We also encourage applications from people outside of London with experience of the nations and regions.
If you have ideas, enthusiasm and opinions and would like to play a vital role in running the charity, then help us achieve our goals by standing for Trustee.
How to Stand

There are 6 vacant seats in this year’s election. Each Trustee will serve a two year term and must be available for quarterly meetings with other Trustees. Candidates must nominate themselves and be seconded by another Radio Academy Member.
