We are looking for experienced radio practitioners to create content for a
health and wellbeing community radio project. Radio Practitioners will work
in collaboration with a Workshop Leader to deliver creative sessions for
children and young people of different ages and abilities. The Radio
Practitioners primary role is to make sound recordings during workshops,
creating material for radio shows.

Radio Practitioners will help to create a safe and accessible space for
children and young people to share their health needs, concerns and
solutions. Each Radio Practitioner will support three creative workshops
with a specific target group, ranging from: -

   - Walking, outdoor play and activities, nature, and games with 0-5 year
   olds and their families,
   - Cooking, healthy eating, fun recipes with fruit and vegetables with
5-10 year olds with learning diabilities,
   - Poetry and creative writing exploring issues faced by young people,
and positive ideas for healthy living for 10-15 year olds who are home
   educated,
   - Songwriting and music production, singing about health, wellbeing,
good and bad habits, and relationships with 15-20 year old young carers,
   and
   - Citizen journalism, broadcasting, local democracy, production,
interviewing experts and local figures in healthcare with LGBT young people
   aged 20-25 years.

Radio Practitioners must be available for an Induction Day on Monday 11th
May between 1pm and 5pm.

Dates of the workshop sessions are expected to take place between June and
October 2015.

Fee: £360 in total, based on £120 per workshop session.

Successful applicants will have a DBS check, or be happy to apply for one.
