Sharing Together -- Arts Council of Wales Strategic Initiative to
encourage the Development of Networking Opportunities
Funding for up to £2500
Deadline: Monday 8th September 2014
Arts Council of Wales has identified funding to support a strategic
initiative aimed at encouraging the creation of new networks and the
strengthening of existing networking opportunities. Funding is
specifically targeted at those who work in the field of marketing,
publicity, PR and audience development, and ACW are also keen to support
initiatives which focus on increasing participation in, as well as
developing audiences for the Arts.
To apply for funding, you will need to complete an application form.
This is not for general lottery funding, so you must contact Arts
Council of Wales staff identified below for a link to the relevant form,
or they will be unable to process your request (see contact details at
the end of this note).
You will also be asked to upload supporting information, to include a
project budget and also a brief proposal (no longer than two sides of
A4) that clearly outline the benefits of the project. Within your
proposal we would like you to include:
Contact details for the individual and organisation leading the
proposal
A description of what you want to do
The reasons why you want to do it
Evidence of the need for this project
The number and types of organisations who will take part and how
you will attract members
The benefits to those taking part
Details of the costs you would like us to meet
ACW will fund 100% of your project costs as long as they do not exceed
£2,500. The types of costs that we can help with include:
Room Hire
Catering
Speaker/Facilitator fees and expenses
Translation Fees (if required)
Access costs
Hire of equipment
Purchase of appropriate software or up to 1year's access to an
online platform

People's Postcode Trust Small Grants Programme (Scotland, Wales and
South of England excl. London & Greater London)
The People's Postcode Trust has announced that its small grants
programme has will re-open for applications on the 7th July 2014.
Through its small grants programme, the Trust offers grants of between
£500 and £20,000 to small organisations and community groups for
projects lasting up to 1 year (for organisations in Wales 6 months) in
the areas of:
Poverty Prevention
Advancement of Health
Community Development
Public Sports
Human Rights
Environmental Protection.
