Hope you are well, Sound Women are holding an event at the Roundhouse in
Camden on Thursday June 26th 1900 - 2030 'Mapping the Industry - ways into
music production' and we would really appreciate it if you could publicise
this. Tickets available here:
http://www.soundwomen.co.uk/event/mapping-the-industry-2-ways-into-music-production-3/

The event is focusing at working in music radio, from making a music
documentary or presenting r own music show, to behind the scenes. Our
speakers include renowned BBC music broadcaster, Liz Kershaw; international
DJ and presenter of The Selector, Goldirocks; and radio award winning and
founder of Three Street Media Reju Sharma. They will discuss where they are
today, with award winning broadcaster and journalist Clare McDonnell, who
can be heard regularly on BBC5Live, and has also presented her own music
show on BBC6Music and covered numerous festivals. They will reveal their
highs and lows, lucky breaks and sheer determination to make their mark in
music programme making.

With over 30 years at the BBC, Liz Kershaw brought her trademark ‘Hiya’ to
Radio 1, local radio and can be heard every Saturday on BBC Radio 6 Music
where she chats to the likes of Gary Numan, Nile Rogers or Temples. Goldirocks
turned her passion into her job, from putting on nights to support new
bands, DJ-ing these events then being invited to play sets at international
festivals, to currently presenting her own show 'The Selector' which is
syndicated to 40 countries around the world. Not content with launching a
series of new shows and winning awards for them on The Asian Network, Reju
Sharma, decided to set up her own production company Three Street
Media. Now there is no stopping her as she wins commissions from Radio
1xtra, The Asian Network, The World Service as well as organising music
events.

More information is on our website http://www.soundwomen.co.uk/

Many thanks for your help and hope to see you there.

Best wishes

Dina
