Well said Terry.

The restrictions on advertising and the 50% rule is of no consequence to 
the huge radio corporations, whilst the effect on the tiny companies 
working to provide meaningful local radio within their communities is to 
hamper their efforts. Furthermore, the opportunities are good for small 
local advertisers, who just could not afford to advertise on the big 
statons (nor would they benefit from it)

I can see there was a need to place controls on the new breed of 
community radio ten years ago, but the world of radio is now a different 
place.
