I feel the pain although I hear on the grapevine that a CR station having
announced its closer in December may well kept going by new blood -
literally!

Kind Regards

It wasn't that nobody was prepared to help enough. Stroud FM existed
virtually on the good will of the volunteers alone towards the end and it
was their sheer will power that kept it going. it's always, however, going
to boil down to hard cash.

I feel really sad about it, as I and a small band of volunteers grew the
station out of an annual RSL to a full time station and we all put in blood
sweat and tears.

Its been two and a half years since I left... and I have great memories of
the massive changes we made on peoples lives who came to us as volunteers

Such a pity - another brave lttle station that nobody was prepared to help
enough.
That makes 243 licensed, 14 never made it to air, 18 failed and 15 yet to
appear.
The rest, with a few exceptions, unsure of a future.
