Hi Phil
Since we started in 2004 .... we have had a Youth Station ... we started
broadcasting in 2006-7 it's called Phase One and runs on the Internet ...
so technically we have 2 Stations. Phase One is solely for Young People,
they are empowered to run it themselves (within reason of course)
Mainly 10 year olds to 18 years .....
Nick

Subject: [cma-l] Working with young people
Dear colleagues
At Somerset Film we are doing some work with Bath Spa Uni on how community
media support young people from different urban and rural settings in
exploring their personal identities, aspirations and sense of place.
We are hoping to collaborate with some local radio stations (including
hopefully 10 Radio and Somer Valley) on a related project in the New Year
but in the meantime would like to hear from any organisations in the UK that
have programmes or projects underway that specifically provide that support
to young people. I'd be grateful to hear of any examples or links you may
have.
Many thanks
Phil
Somerset Film
