[cma-l] Ofcom awards three new community radio licences in Shropshire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire

Ofcom has announced the award of three new community radio licences in
Shropshire, Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire.

Licences have been awarded to Nova FM in Newport, Shropshire; Radio Newark
in Newark on Trent, Nottinghamshire; and Endeavour FM in Boston,
Lincolnshire.

Nova FM (Radio Nova Ltd)
Website: http://novafm.co.uk/

Nova FM will provide a community radio service for the town of Newport and
its surrounding villages.

Radio Newark (Radio Newark Limited)
Website: http://radionewark.co.uk/

Radio Newark will serve residents of Newark on Trent and surrounding
villages in Nottinghamshire.

Endeavour FM (Endeavour Radio Ltd)
Website: http://endeavourradio.co.uk/

The station will serve the population of Boston and surrounding areas in
south east Lincolnshire.

Community radio services are provided on a not-for-profit basis focusing on
the delivery of specific social benefits to a particular geographical
community or a community of interest. Licences are awarded for a five-year
period.
