*Digital Media, Digital Makers* is the final conference of the Sheffield

together local and national players in the digital and creative economies
to discuss the impact of SCN and the opportunities for the future.

Local social entrepreneurs and Digital Media Centres will showcase the work
they have achieved in the project. If you are a digital media centre,
social entrepreneur or the recipient of a SEEG grant please sign
up<events at sheffieldcommunity.net>for free exhibition space to present
your work.
The Sheffield Community Network project is funded by Sheffield City
Council<http://www.sheffield.gov.uk>and the European
Regional Development
Fund<https://www.gov.uk/government/policies/supporting-economic-growth-through-managing-the-european-regional-development-fund>and
it isa programme to promote active participation in the knowledge
economy and
increase employment opportunities in Sheffield:
- Establishing a series of Digital Media
Centres<http://sheffieldcommunity.net/about/dmcs/>and support to
Social Enterprises.
- Using funding to promote digital participation in order to enable
citizens.
- Helping deprived communities and disadvantaged social & economic
groups in Sheffield to access and use ICT.
- Giving them the tools to start enterprises and generate new jobs
