Dear All

Some interesting views on here .... Everyone looks positive and enthusiastic
that's good.

As you know I do have strong views regarding Community Radio / TV in the
very fact that I believe the Radio sector should be sorted out first before
we start off on a TV venture ...however, there is no reason as to why the 2
cannot flourish hand in hand / arm in arm.

One nice chap mentioned that he would like to this more as a County thing
than as opposed to a Town / Village scheme. I have to say that this is my
view entirely. Starting off with Cheshire West for example and Cheshire East
or Oxfordshire North ....... smaller Counties standing on their own
perhaps??? Sheffield for example could provide a service for south Yorkshire
with Leeds covering central Yorkshire which could include Bradford / York ??
I think it would make the sponsorship money go a lot further.

Anyway ...... on a final note, there was another chappy who made the point
that (and I quote) ''it really does look as though the Government
are listening you know''

Er .. 'what planet is he on' ? they ain't listening to the 16 community
stations who are struggling along regardless of how many taps on the
shoulder they keep receiving from me.

We are starting to feel insulted, and furthermore, pulling out all the stops
for TV whilst leaving us festering in a shambles is as I always point out
totally unacceptable.

Apologies for constantly boring everyone to death with these complaints, but
if we simply 'go away' 'crawl into a corner and die' nothing will ever get
done.

No restrictions for anyone ..... Community Radio or Community TV ..... It is
NOT how we raise the money it is the proof of how we spend it. As long as it
is put to a good not-for-profit community use then I see no problem. In
fact, it is not about how I see it ... it is a FACT.

Mr Vaizy / Mr Hunt / Mr 'Big Society' Cameron / please wake up and
smell the coffee and play a fair game ...... highly interlectual people like
yourselves should surely by now be able to see the common sense. We are
losing valuable funding because of this debacle. You cannot keep parading
around blaming the previous Government for 'whatever' when you are doing
nothing about it yourself ..... Pots calling kettles spring to mind.

Regards

Nick
