Epic Awards DEADLINE EXTENDED to 30th Nov so you can still enter and be 
in with a chance of winning great prizes!

What is EPIC?
The Epic Awards were named because they combine the four elements below. 
Groups need to have achieved something in at least one of these areas to 
enter:

E stands for engagement or reaching out and attracting a bigger 
audience, and maybe working with participants from a different cultural 
background to yourselves. Had a recruitment drive recently? Or reached 
out to people who may be currently underrepresented in your group, 
perhaps younger people or people with disabilities? Have you been able 
to attract volunteers to help in the day to day running of your 
organisation? Ensuring that a group thrives in terms of numbers and 
diversity can be a tricky business. Let us know how you did it.

P stands for partnership or working with an organisation that enables 
both groups to work more effectively as a result of sharing information, 
skills or pooling resources. This could mean working with a local 
authority, a voluntary or community group, arts organisation or 
commercial company. It's the two heads better than one scenario!

I stands for innovation which means using technology in a way that works 
for you. It could be using social networking (Facebook, Twitter, 
YouTube, Flickr etc.) or working with media, ie. TV, film, radio or web. 
It could also involve making good use of traditional communications such 
as posters, leaflets and word of mouth.

C stands for creative development in your art and craft form. If your 
group has developed significantly in terms of your skill levels we want 
to know how you did it! Maybe as a result of attending conferences, 
courses, working with professionals or another art form, reading books, 
or learning from each other you've simply got better. Let us know how 
you've approached the learning element of your work.
