Jaqui

Will this meeting be open to all ?.... if so, I wouldn't miss it for the
World ... I've got 4 years worth to get off my chest !

I'm not sure whether you have seen the message board but we are giving it a
go ourselves and trying to find ways around, up or over the nonsense whilst
possibly at the same time taking the nonsense on - HEAD ON !

Bear in mind that some of our fraternity could have gone tits-up before this
meeting even takes place .... then followed by another consultation, another
load of verbal diahorrea and then dithering and no satisfactory action ....
by all means shock me, but I ain't hopeful.

Whilst all this goes on, we have to soldier on regardless, still
miraculously fulfilling our commitments whilst scraping the barrel !

I've only got one suggestion for the DCMS ''get shot of the lot !'' and
let people get on with what they are meant to be doing, which is not
spending most of the day arguing the toss on a message board, something that
I shall continue to do plus taking unilateral action in order to rid us of
this unfair and totally unacceptable practice.
As far as I can see ... if done correctly, this DCMS meeting should last for
about half an hour and then in the pub by 1pm !

Ta

Regards

Nick

Subject: [cma-l] DCMS consultation meetings on amendments to community
radiolaw

Dear all

The DCMS will be co-hosting a couple of meetings with us, probably in
the New Year, to discuss possible amendments to the law on community
radio, as part of the new Communications Bill.

We are writing to ask your views on what the agenda should cover - we
do have quite a few ideas on what you might want but would prefer you
to tell us!

Almost certainly community radio advertising rules (all of them) will
be on the agenda, but what other subjects would you like on it?

Please do let us know,

Best wishes

Jaqui
