[cma-l] Avoiding sexually-explicit songs

So true Ian ! With all the new slang and street lingo being used in urban
music these days with double, triple meaning , one cant  afford to not
screen every piece of music which goes on to the playlist . This is one of
the most essential part of our training with young volunteers 16 to 25 years
old. We now have two over 18 volunteers whose job is purely to do radio
edits of all tracks we get ( specially from the urban underground scene)  on
a weekly basis. Adobe Audition 3.0 has a very easy tool to scratch/reverse
explicit lyrics. Both young people are from two distinct ethnic backgrounds
and hence understand the language in current urban music scene and the
streets comprehensively. As community broadcasters it is important that we
take the responsibility towards our younger listeners very seriously and not
brush it aside as a chore!
