We can't make films but we can make radio.

Subject: [cma-l] Funding News: Young Film Fund (UK)

The Young Film Fund from First Light is now open for applications.
There are two funds available to support young people’s (aged 5-19)
film making projects:

Pilot Grant:
- Funding for one short film of up to five minutes length
- Maximum grant - £5,000
- 20% match funding required

Studio Grant:
- Funding for between two and four films of up to 10 minutes length
- Maximum grant – £30,000
- 20% match funding required
- Track record of film making with young people necessary

The Young Film Fund has introduced a maximum number of applications
which can be accepted in each round. In this round it is 80 so you are
advised to submit your application well before the deadline. The
cut-off point for accepting applications will be either when the
maximum number is reached, or the actual deadline, whichever is first.

Deadlines:
- Applications open 3 May 2011; deadline 14 June 2011 2:00pm
- Applications open 16 August 2011; deadline 27 September 2011 2:00 pm
- Applications open 22 November 2011; deadline 10 January 2012 2:00 pm
