We use SAM Broadcaster from Spacial Audio:

http://spacial.com/sam-broadcaster

It's cheap, has DJ seat licences without buying extra full licences
and has worked well for us.

It uses a choice of standard databases (including free ones) which has
allowed us to easily develop a public website that displays what's
playing, what's coming up etc, what was played built around the
database.

We also have a Presenters website where users can listen to specific
music tracks, build show playlists and place directly into SAM etc.
Hourly audit files are also available here which allowed an extremely
quick remote response when we had an Ofcom query.

We used SAM to pull in our sustaining service temporarily when we had
an equipment failure.

I have a DJ seat on my laptop for developing & testing and used it to
do my shows remotely and extremely easily from Rotterdam when I was
working over there.

Subject to time constraints (!!) I may be able to offer more detailed
help off-list if that would help. Please email me directly at eddie at
kcr.fm

Regards,

Eddie
