A little light-heartedness for a Friday.

Earlier this week, our presenter Gordon Hotchkiss was presenting
his regular "Hotchpotch" programme. Gordon is a well known-face
both in the traditional music world and in radio broadcasting -
throughout the 80s he was the "voice of folk music" on Radio Clyde,
and won a UK National Sony award and a Scottish TRICS commendation
for best radio specialist music programme.

Anyway - Gordon's guests on Wednesday were the Friel sisters - three
young traditional musicians hailing from Glasgow with Donegal roots.

As well as being fine musicians, two of the sisters are also studying
dentistry in Glasgow.

Gordon thought he was making a fine joke by playing Ian Davidson's
track "The Talking Dentist", but the joke turned on him! As he
took a bite out of a biscuit, one of his front teeth broke!

Luckily, the Friel Sisters were on hand for an impromtu examination
live on Celtic Music Radio.

Our studio engineer recorded this historic moment on video, for
posterity!

So what other unusual activites have you had in your studio?

Bruce.
