The Wales & West Utilities Small Grants Scheme (Wales)
The Community Foundation in Wales has announced that community groups, 
voluntary organisations and local charities across Wales that are 
running projects and initiatives that affect children and young people 
can now apply for grants of up to £2,000 through the Wales & West 
Utilities Small Grants Scheme.

The fund aims to support projects that:
•  support children in disadvantaged communities
•  build confidence and self-esteem
•  motivated and inspire individuals to fulfil their potential
•  provide diversionary activities which reduce anti-social behaviour
•  improve health and wellbeing
•  encourage social inclusion
•  promote learning and skills development
•  provide advice and guidance
•  encourage engagement with the broader community.

Grants can be used towards:
•  purchasing equipment
•  produce publicity material
•  running a pilot project
•  assist with running costs of a specific project
•  minor capital works.

The deadline for applications is the 18th March 2011. For more
