[cma-l] CMA and the development of local TV

Dear all

A few of you have asked if the CMA will be putting in a bid for local TV.
We will not be as the CMA, as a number of you from across the sector are or
will be involved in locally based consortium bids.  We see our role as
advocacy/honest brokers/policy development oversight so that the sector
throughout the UK gets the best deal and opportunity for involvement in this
exciting development.

To that end, if any of you have queries, things you would like raised with
DCMS and/or Ofcom as the policy framework is further developed please do let
us know.
