If you could pass a message onto Mr Hunt and say well done for identifying
the sixty five areas for local TV ... fan-dabby-dozy let's throw a party ...
perhaps I could identify for him, sixteen areas in the UK whereby he hasn't
managed to sort out Community Radio. North East Cheshire being one of them.
He needs to start learning to walk before attempting to run. Out of the
sixty five TV Stations which ones are going to have the restrictions ? I'm
looking forward to seeing the list !
No sponsorship, no advertising, only allowed to broadcast 5km and no serious
changes for four years and still ticking
Fascinating ?!
Regards
Nick
By the way, I had a meeting this morning with a potential sponsor .... he is
another we can add to the long list of those who don't understand the rules
no matter how much we try to explain and another one who has ''buggered us
off !'' until the time comes when we can let the listener know on-air
how much he charges for his storage space.
I reckon this year, we've lost about £20,000 already due to the restrictions
if you also include those who haven't sponsored us because they can't hear
us .... that is a serious amount of money that could be spent on our youth
work. Instead, we are only working at quarter capacity due to lack of
funding caused by Mr Hunt, Mr DCMS and their entourage !
I just thought I would keep pecking away .... we don't to end up out of
sight out of mind ...... please forward this onto him
Ta regards again
Nick

Potential local TV locations revealed
Sixty five towns and cities are in the running to pioneer the UKs first
local television services.
Culture Secretary Jeremy Hunt has announced the areas which have been
identified by Ofcom as suitable for local TV.
A map has been published detailing areas across the UK from Aberdeen to
Plymouth and Londonderry to Norwich which can make the case to enjoy the
service.
