Resources to help you get ready for Adult Learners' Week
14 to 20 May 2011
From pottery or mechanics to windsurfing or numeracy, Adult Learners'
Week promotes the benefit of all kinds of learning. Each May, thousands
of events take place to promote local learning opportunities. Taster
sessions, and open days/events are held across the country encouraging
adults of all ages to take that first or next step in to learning.
Adult Learners' Week provides you with the perfect hook to attract new
audiences and demonstrate the learning opportunities that you provide.
You can:
• engage new and different learners;
• increase enrolments and footfall;
• use the PR hook for your own marketing and PR; and
• play an important part in this national advocacy activity making the
case for adult learning.
Running an event can be as easy as using the Adult Learners' Week
branding for your existing sessions during the week, to a
multi-partnership event for one of this year's themed days.
