Improvements Made to Reaching Communities (England)
BIG has announced that they have made improvements to their Reaching
Communities Programme. Reaching Communities provides grants of 10,000 -
£500,000 for projects that help people and communities who are most in
need, and can really make a difference. BIG want to fund projects that
respond to needs identified by communities and those that fund projects
that help those most in need including those people or groups who are
hard to reach.
Organisations that can apply for funding include; registered charities;
voluntary or community groups; statutory bodies, (including schools);
charitable or not-for-profit companies.
Improvements made include; A simpler application process and a quicker
decision making for those applying for less than £40,000; better chance
of being funded if you are invited to complete a full application; more
support for applicants at every stage of the application process, in
particular for those that have received less funding than expected; more
detailed feedback if applications are not successful.
