Guardian Charity Awards 2010

Five smaller charities have the chance to win £6,000 and consultancy
support in the Guardian Charity Awards 2010.

The awards are open to UK social welfare charities who have an income
of between £5,000 and £1.5 million.

The deadline is 16 July 2010.

Active Citizens programme - grants of £7,500 available

The British Council is looking for UK local delivery partners for its
Active Citizens programme.

Grants of up to £7,500 are available for people who are running
voluntary or community sector organisations, or networks supporting
active participation and social justice (such as tackling poverty and
inequality) in their communities, and who are interested in sharing
and learning from others worldwide.

The programme aims to connect organisations and people involved in
local community initiatives and offers them the chance to gain an
international perspective on the work they are doing and to contribute
to social research on global themes, develop cross-cultural engagement
skills and international professional networks.

Deadline: 9 July 2010
