If your show is in Chinese why not look for Chinese speaking party members, rather than MPs, to talk on the show instead?

If the debate concerns issues surrounding a certain area, you would need to invite councillors and MPs from that area. However if the debate is about national elections and national issues, or broader issues that effect a city, you can invite MPs etc from the city of further afield depending on the topic of debate.

As we were discussing the elections in general I decided to have some fun and invite the Rainbow party, the Green Socialists and other fringe groups you've never heard of, to debate alongside Labour, Lib dem, Green and UKIP (we were discussing European parliament as well) etc. (the Cons never got back to us).  The politicians said it was a nice change to have a decent and respectful debate and came back a second time.

Thank you very much for this timely reminder. It is very useful. Seems
it is OK to run item without all the candidates as long as everyone is
offered the chance.

I was confusing with Election Expenditure at public events with the
candidates, when separate rules applies.

Can someone advise me if it is possible to invite candidates from
different areas to represent different parties in the election period?
Or they should be from the same constituency?

My programme is in Chinese and it is technically very hard and
expensive to have a debate with non-Chinese candidates. I can get
representatives from different parties but they do not stand in the
