Hi all,

Not sure if you know about RadioDNS/RadioVIS http://radiodns.org/

"RadioDNS is a collaborative project to enable the convergence of radio
broadcasting and IP-delivered services. It aims to significantly enhance the
experience of radio listening using scalable and resilient broadcast technology
in tandem with additional information via IP."

Basically it enables you as a broadcaster (on FM or DAB) to
add additional content to your broadcasting via a web system for receivers that
support the technology and have access to the internet. Its a very interesting
concept and why I have played with on a community RSL.

More and more devises are coming along with this implementation, and i would
recommend that community broadcasters keep an eye on the project or even get
involved with it.

There are a few interesting videos on the site as well as full information and
tech bits.. but this video is also very interesting.. where global are using the
same or similar content online, on mobile apps and RadioVIS.

Subject: [RadioDNS-Dev] RadioVIS support added for FM radio on the PURE Sensia

Just a quick note to let you know that in today's firmware update PURE
have now added RadioVIS support to FM radio. If you own one of these
devices perform an update in the usual way.

When you switch to the FM radio mode and tune to a service which is
providing RadioVIS you should see the slideshow begin in the
background. Two taps of the icon in the top right should present you
will full screen slideshow.

If you're a service provider don't forget to check you are signalling
and serving FM radio bearer details correctly so your listeners can
get visuals alongside your FM radio services.
