Zoe Walker and Neil Bromwich Invite you to Join - A Celestial Odyssey

Dear Friends

Celestial Radio is making her sixth voyage sailing into Greece to 
broadcast for the people of Thessaloniki, as part of 'PRAXIS, Art in 
Times of Uncertainty, the 2nd Thessaloniki Biennale'.

The newly commissioned sound work A Celestial Odyssey Exploring the 
spirit of protest, play and creativity from ancient times to now the 
celestialnauts search for moments of joy and inspiration in Thessaloniki.

Weaving there way through Dionysian Ritual, to Internetic Feather 
fights, the crew of the Celeste join forces with the Argonauts in search 
of the Golden Fleece and the Zealots as they battle for a people’s 
republic. They find moments when the city reads as an example of 
cultural equilibrium, and highlights how the manifestation of revolution 
or celebration has led the way. Music from early pirate radio and 
contemporary tracks by musicians based in Thessaloniki are mixed with 
interviews by historians and creative thinkers.
