Tender of non-commercial digital TV from November 1, 2009

  From June 15 to July 10, 2009 the Danish Radio and TV Board will tender
licences to broadcast
non-commercial TV for the period of November 1, 2009 to December 31, 2013.

The tender comprises regional broadcast in 8 regions corresponding with
the regions of TV2
Denmark possibly combined with nationwide broadcast up to 21 hours per week.
The licensees will be allowed to broadcast between 9 pm and 5 pm daily.
In some regions this
period will furthermore be reduced up to 30 minutes daily.

The assessment of applications will be based on a beauty contest, where
the main criteria is to
assure the area in question a programming of a varied nature. To assure
this the applicants
must render precise information on the content of the programming, the
target groups for the
programming etc.

Concerning applications for regional broadcast applicants offering the
following content will be preferred: in house production for the
region ? in house production for
other regions ? other productions.
For nationwide licences the following will be preferred: in house
productions ? other productions.

The application for the broadcasting licence includes an application for
subsidy for the months of
November/December 2009 and for the whole of 2010.
All interested parties can file an application for a licence and a
subsidy and there are no
requirements concerning the organisation of the applicant.
In the course of week 36 the licences will be published.
