Graduate and New Talent Residencies: open for proposals

The media industries are going through a period of rapid change. As 
technologies converge and platforms proliferate, finding time and space 
to develop projects which capture the imagination becomes even more 
tricky. The Pervasive Media Studio New Talent Residencies carves out 
space for emerging talent to make time and take risks as start-ups, 
artists or researchers.

What is pervasive media? How can we design immersive, creative, 
inclusive experiences for this new form? Bringing together 
practitioners, researchers and users from diverse backgrounds, the 
Pervasive Media Studio seeks to explore these questions, establishing a 
globally-recognised centre of excellence in the heart of Bristol, UK.

The Studio’s New Talent Residencies are a unique opportunity for recent 
graduates or people starting out in their careers to spend time 
developing a pervasive idea (wireless, mobile, display or sensor 
technology) in an open and collaborative space. We offer: a great 
location, desk space for three months, meeting rooms, editing 
facilities, access to advice and guidance from pervasive media experts 
(from HP Labs, BBC, University of West of England) and most importantly 
an open and collaborative environment filled with leading talent from 
across computing and the creative industries.
