One for future community radio involvement perhaps?

Couldn't see any friendly names on the attendance list
(http://www.globeinternational.org/docs/content/community_involvement_in_tackling_climate_change_workshop_agenda_16.07.09.doc)
but maybe if someone knows someone going they could sow the seeds...

Parliamentary Workshop - Community Involvement in Tackling Climate Change

The Workshop will be hosted by Lord Hunt of Chesterton and the Rt Hon
Malcolm Bruce MP, Vice Presidents of the UK Parliamentary Group of the
Global Legislators Organisation (GLOBE). It will take place between
1400-1700 on Thursday 16th July in the Attlee Suite in Portcullis
House.

The aim of this workshop will be twofold - firstly to consider if the
government and industry should support the creation of demonstration
projects in every town and city to showcase the practical eco
improvements that people can make in their homes.  To aid our
discussion we will be hearing from the creators of four flagship
projects such as the Swindon Buildstore,  the Camden Ecohome, the BRE
Innovation Centre and the Carshalton Eco-Renovation.

The second aim will be to consider how UK companies, NGOs and
community groups can more effectively increase community involvement
in tackling climate change.

The outcomes of the workshop will inform a policy paper to be
submitted to the Government by GLOBE UK on Community engagement in
tackling climate change.
