Not sure "Volunteer produced radio" category would work in all cases as many
community stations, including ours employ presenters which are therefore not
volunteers.
How about a category for stations with a single 25 Watt transmitter!

Well done Jaqui and all involved in this meeting.
After reading the minutes, an instant thought springs to mind which will
enable a new award that encompasses the ideal of community radio almost
exclusively.
A 35th award, called "Volunteer produced radio" (catchy...) would
eliminate the vast majority of BBC and ILR stations.
Maybe the title needs a little tweaking, but I think that an award
category that is just for radio produced by a volunteer / team of
volunteers would help to open the awards up to our sector, and also
hospital and student radio.
