The Communitybuilders £70 million investment fund is due to open for
applications on 7 September 2009.

The fund aims to build a more cohesive, empowered and active
communities through a range of loans, grants and mentoring support to
a range of community anchor-type organisations across England.

Global Charities, in partnership with Global Radio and v, have
announced a new round of the Youth Volunteering Grants for youth
volunteering projects across England.

Youth organisations can apply for up to £10,000 to facilitate new
volunteering opportunities for young people aged 16-25 year in the
areas community, sport, the media, arts or music.

The fund is particularly interested in groups working with young
people who don’t usually volunteer and projects that provide
opportunities and progression once the project has been completed.

The deadline for applications is 4 September 2009.
