Dear colleague

*National Occupational Standards – Radio Content Creation *

Skillset has just launched a consultation on the draft set of revised
National Occupational Standards (Standards) for radio production and we
are keen to receive your comments.

Part of Skillsets' role, as the Sector Skills Council for Creative
Media, is to consult with employers and industry stakeholders when
developing new standards or reviewing existing standards to ensure that
they are relevant and up-to-date with current work practices. The
standards define the competencies (skills, knowledge & understanding)
which apply to specific job roles or occupations, and are used as
benchmarks to develop Human Resource tools, training provision,
accredited qualifications and other products that help the development
of workforce skills.

For the last couple of months we’ve been consulting with radio industry
people across the country, and the findings of this exercise are
reflected in a draft set of standards which are now available for
comment via our website. To take part in this important consultation
and for further information about our work please see -
http://www.skillset.org/standards/consultations/. The consultation will
close on *Monday 22 September. ***

We look forward to your comments.

Best wishes

Amy.
