Dear Members

If you've contacted Marilyn Hyndman or I recently on this topic,
please ignore.

ULTV (United for Local Television) of which the CMA is a founder
member is interested to hear from CMA members (and others) who have
provided a business plan or letter of intent to Ofcom to run local
television services in their area.

The notifications to Ofcom will have been for the informal
expressions of interest deadline

•	for 14th February 20008;

•	the Second PSB Review consultation in June 2008, or;

•	the Digital Dividend consultation closing in August.

Further expressions and support may have been forwarded to Ofcom in
between (or since August).

The Institute of Local Television is carrying out a short exercise to
identify local TV interest in support of ULTV's meetings with
Ministers early in the New Year.

This is an attempt to network better with local groups and to find
out what their needs are and follows the survey conducted by the
Institute a couple of years ago and published in AIRFLASH.

Meanwhile please provide phone number of contact who is best able to
discuss scope and support for your local community/TV plans using
digital spectrum freed up with switchover (discussion without need to
breach any confidences). It is not proposed to publish this list but
to better prepare the presentation to Ministers with an awareness of
activity on the ground.

The objective is to have a map of scale and scope identified in the
last year, particularly for service proposals and business plans that
are making progress in England and Wales.

With regards,

Dave Rushton
Institute of Local Television
