They are indeed a strange bunch.

I spoke some years ago to live365.com with a view to using them for internet broadcasting. For anyone not aware they are an American company that provides internet streaming facilities. I asked them if the royalty payments they charge cover me here in the UK. I was told they did, but that as our royalty people had never approached them they had never paid anything.

So while they are pursuing honest community broadcasters to the hilt, they are conveniently ignoring over ten thousand internet streams emanating from all over the world via the Live365 hub, all of which can be heard in the UK.

The words "soft" and "target" springs to mind....
