Dear Colleague

Following the publication of our statement on the Digital Dividend
Review (DDR) in December 2007, we are currently consulting on proposals
on how to release the ‘white space’ spectrum that will exist between
television transmitters after digital switchover.

You are therefore invited to attend a seminar on *Monday 14 July from 2
– 3.30pm* at the *Crown and Mitre Hotel*, English Street, Carlisle, CA3 8HZ.

You are therefore invited to attend a seminar on *Tuesday 15 July *from*
10 – 11.30am* at the *Ramada Manchester Piccadilly*, Piccadilly Plaza,
Portland Street, Manchester, M1 4PH.

This seminar will cover the geographic interleaved awards, including our
proposals for packaging the white space that exists geographically
between transmitters and is suitable for:

· new digital television services in local and city areas

· television services covering larger parts of the UK

· services to support programme making and special events organisers

· possibly mobile television and mobile broadband

To register your interest, please email stakeholder.events at ofcom.org.uk
<mailto:stakeholder.events at ofcom.org.uk>. We would be grateful for your
response by Friday 11 July 2008 at the latest and look forward to
hearing your views at the consultation event.
