Dear all

If you have any interest in developing local TV in your area, either for
now or the future, please let us know urgently.

Ofcom is at the latter stages of research into spectrum availability
that might be used for local television. It could be persuaded to
research further if evidence of demand and willingness to provide local
TV services can be provided, particularly in non metropolitan areas.
Ofcom is not yet persuaded, despite its own consumer research, that
people want to watch local television services or that there are willing
providers out there! It has therefore identified only 25 areas in the
UK where local TV might be possible - hardly a universal set of
services...

So, if you have any interest at all in providing or using local and
community television please let us know now, and where you are based (so
we know which current transmitter or relay coverage area you are in).

We are working closely with other interested stakeholders, including
community providers and small commercial local TV operators, to present
a united front to Ofcom, but we need your help in evidencing interest
and demand for community and local television.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Best wishes

Jaqui
