Re-engaging and reconnecting with ethnic minorities in media

Tuesday September 16 2008, BAFTA, London

The Ethnic Media Summit, taking place on Tuesday September 16 2008 at
BAFTA is a platform to hear how mainstream institutions are striving
to better serve ethnic groups by cultivating and investing in talent,
and in turn reaping the rewards. As a Summit partner, the Community
Media Association is attending this event in order to keep our
membership abreast of how new and existing ethnic platforms are
adapting to the challenges of capacity building and sustainability in
an increasingly fragmented online world.

The Summit offers the opportunity to hear some of the industries most
dynamic and thought-provoking speakers including:

•	Jaqui Devereux, Director, Community Media Association
•	Trevor Phillips, chair, Equality and Human Rights Commission
•	Ade Rawcliffe, diversity and talent manager, Channel4
•	Paul Hood, head of digital, Mirror Group
•	John Yorke, controller, BBC Drama
•	Andrew Davis, marketing & content producer, UK & Ireland, MySpace.com
