Hi

Something that may help to put under the noses of ministers, MPs,
councillors etc -

The Culture & Education Committee of the European Parliament
commissioned a report on The State of Community Media in the European

Union which we put in the references at the end of our report on the
Funding and Funding Voices Colloquium (http://www.communitymedia.eu/).

You can see the report at
http://www.europarl.europa.eu/activities/committees/studies/download.do?
file=17791

Much more succinct is what an Austrian MEP and journalist, Karin
Resetarits, put together see
http://www.europarl.europa.eu/sides/getDoc.do?pubRef=-//EP//NONSGML+COMP
ARL+PE-402.919+01+DOC+PDF+V0//EN&language=EN with suggested amendments
(some by the CMFE) at
http://www.europarl.europa.eu/sides/getDoc.do?pubRef=-//EP//NONSGML+COMP
ARL+PE-404.766+01+DOC+PDF+V0//EN&language=EN

The UK membership of this committee
(http://www.europarl.europa.eu/activities/committees/membersCom.do?langu
age=EN&body=CULT)

isn't especially brilliant, but I will contact the Labour member about
it, because vthe report gets debated in the EP on June 2 and 3 if I
havethe dates right, Mon and Tue of that week.

Good luck with lobbying!

Peter
