[cma-l] do you copyright programmes, materials etc?

Oh great Oracle:

How do other community stations deal with copyright, especially for
the programmes you make and other materials (e.g. training manuals)
produced?

Some of our members are wanting to individually hold the copyright to
anything they produce (currently this only applies to training
materials, but I can anticipate someone making a programme and
wanting to personally retain copyright).

I'm more inclined towards an open source type approach i.e. anyone
can copy, share or adapt our materials if it's not for profit (and
not for government) and our station is acknowledged as the originator.

Your collective thoughts, as always, are greatly valued.

Many thanks

Julian
