Hi there folks (just like the buses - no messages from me for ages then
two in ten minutes!)

I'm writing to draw your attention to a great new program called Radio
New Internationalist.

I've been in touch with Chris Richards (based in Melbourne) from the New Internationalist co-operative, who in addition to producing their monthly magazine, have started to produce a weekly one hour radio programme (http://www.newint.org/radio/) concentrating on majority world issues. I contacted them to request playing their shows on our schedule. They agreed. And after learning more about the development of community radio in the UK, they've now set up special access for UK community radio stations who'd like to play their program. I know that the CMA has now launched Get Media, so I've suggested to Chris that they sticks some shows in there, but I'd suggest that folk who are interested also contact Chris directly as they are prepared to offer FTP access to their archive, which means you can download full quality, hour long programmes as wav files.

We're planning to use their show on our weekly schedule, and Chris is very keen to get in touch with other stations in the UK to encourage them to do the same. Chris Richards <chrisr at newint.com.au>

If you're interested to find out more then please drop Chris a line.

All the best,

Murray
