Greetings all -

Here at Preston FM, we're currently working with the Woodcraft Folk -
a national children's and young people's organisation - to deliver a
project called C-Cast - and we hope that you'd like to get involved
too.

C-Cast will be a 12-hour live radio broadcast by young people, for
young people about climate change - taking place on Friday 25th
January alongside a youth climate-change conference at the GLA. The
conference will bring together interested young people from across
the capital to discuss and debate the best approaches to tackling
climate change with politicians and experts. C-Cast radio will enable
young people around the UK to participate in this event, through a
combination of music, documentaries, debates with experts,
interaction and live sessions from the conference. Building on the
concept of many individual actions coming together to deliver a big
impact, people will end the day feeling educated, empowered and ready
to do something about climate change.

We're looking for other community radio stations who would like to be
involved by:

- Carrying all or part of the C-Cast broadcast live on 25th January 2008.
- Using C-Cast features, interviews or programmes as part of their
schedule on the C-Cast day, or before or afterwards.
- Providing climate-change related audio content - ideally produced
by young people - for C-Cast.

C-Cast is part of a wider project called C-Change, which aims to
engage young people who have some knowledge and concern about climate
change in raising the awareness of their peers. There's lots more
about the wider project at http://www.switchonswitchoff.org

If you'd like to be involved, get in touch by e-mail, or visit
http://www.preston.fm/c-cast, where you can sign up to become part of
the project.

With best wishes for the festive season

Richard
